Job summary

Dallas Market Center is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to keep our expansive facilities safe, comfortable, and operating efficiently for exhibitors, buyers, and staff. You’ll apply hands-on HVAC, electrical, and lighting expertise to sustain our premier market hub in Dallas.

Responsibilities include repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections of chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, and major equipment; routine record-keeping in the work order system; and collaborating

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Level 3 HVAC Certification or HVAC License.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive inspections on HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems.
• Inspect HVAC components including chillers, air handlers, and cooling towers.
• Collaborate on installing new HVAC units and major equipment overhauls.
• Address and resolve hot/cold complaints and other issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Rotate duties to monitor startup and shutdown of chillers, lights, and escalators.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the work order system.
• Assist in planning and executing building maintenance projects.
• Respond to service requests and provide support during afterhours events.
• Work closely with a supportive team on various maintenance projects, including routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs, routine maintenance, and preventive inspections on HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct detailed inspections of HVAC components including chillers, air handlers, and cooling towers to preemptively identify issues.
• Collaborate on installing new HVAC units and major equipment overhauls.
• Address and resolve hot/cold complaints and other issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Rotate duties to monitor startup and shutdown of chillers, lights, and escalators.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the work order system.
• Assist in planning and executing building maintenance projects.
• Respond to service requests and provide support during afterhours events.

• Set schedule: 9:30 am - 6 pm

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Level 3 HVAC Certification or HVAC License.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.

Preferred:

• EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerant.
