HiFyve is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician for 1st shift in Zumbrota, MN. The role maintains the facility, grounds and equipment, handles small construction projects and supports plant maintenance as needed.

Requirements include a HS Diploma or GED, 2 years in maintenance or related field, basic welding, and familiarity with process controls. This is a day-shift position with weekend rotation and a competitive hourly pay.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of building and grounds maintenance, construction or related experience; manufacturing preferred.
• Minor projects from planning to install (non-sanitary piping, drain lines, vacuum lines).
• Routine repairs: pumps, boiler maintenance, HVAC, VFDs, sanitary valves, piping leaks.
• Basic TIG and stick welding for repair and fabrication.
• Follow process controls and schematics to diagnose system problems.
• Basic computer skills; pass a maintenance test.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Preferred: SAP experience; pursuing 1B Boilers License.

Responsabilidades

• Complete building maintenance work orders safely and on time (plumbing, painting, welding, carpentry).
• Maintain facility structure (floors, lighting, walls, ceilings, roof, grounds).
• Handle small construction projects (room additions).
• Maintain grounds equipment (pressure washers, mowers, forklifts).
• Perform routine building inspections for safety and function.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – 1ST SHIFT

Zumbrota, MN

Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:00am – 3:00pm Monday – Friday, plus a weekend rotation

Pay: $30 – $33/hour depending on experience

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A food manufacturer is adding a day-shift Building Maintenance Technician at its Zumbrota plant. You will keep the facility, grounds and grounds equipment in top shape, handle small construction projects and back up plant maintenance when needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Complete building maintenance work orders safely and on time: plumbing, painting, welding, masonry, rough and finish carpentry
• Maintain the facility structure: floors, lighting, walls, ceilings, roof and grounds
• Handle small construction projects such as room additions
• Maintain grounds equipment: pressure washers, mowers, forklifts and plant vehicles
• Perform routine building inspections for safety and proper function
• Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis and fix problems
• Anticipate parts needs and order ahead through proper purchasing procedures
• Document all repairs accurately
• Assist plant maintenance and outside contractors as needed
• Follow GMP, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements

WHAT YOU NEED

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of building and grounds maintenance, construction or related experience, manufacturing preferred

• Routine repairs: product and water pumps, boiler maintenance, HVAC, VFDs, sanitary valves, piping leaks
• Basic TIG and stick welding for repair and fabrication
• Follow process control variables and schematics to diagnose system problems
• Basic computer skills
• Pass a written maintenance test
• Read, write and speak English
• Preferred: SAP experience; Special Boilers License, working toward 1B Boilers License
