St. John’s Prep is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance across campus facilities. The role covers carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, electrical work, and related tasks, with independent work ability and a focus on safety and reliability.
The technician will work 2:00 pm–10:30 pm, supporting events and routine maintenance, and will prepare rooms for events while collaborating with the Buildings & Grounds team.

The Building Maintenance Technician, under the general supervision of the Managing Director of Buildings & Grounds, performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repair tasks as well as related duties as required. The technician will perform maintenance and mechanical duties for assigned buildings and related facilities, furnishings, and equipment. Duties may include painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, heating, roofing, and related work. The technician may work independently, under supervision, as a crafts-worker to accomplish specific projects. This is a full time hourly, second shift staff position; work hours are generally 2 to 10:30 pm. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
