Job summary

ACI, based in Baton Rouge, is seeking a proactive maintenance worker to help anticipate problems and keep facilities running smoothly. You will communicate with tenants, visitors and staff while performing day-to-day maintenance tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include general repairs, basic carpentry/painting, plumbing and electrical system upkeep, and basic HVAC tasks. Safety procedures must be followed at all times in a variety of on-site conditions.

• Ability to perform general building maintenance and repairs.

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
• Use basic carpentry and painting skills to fix walls, floors, and doors including dock doors.
• Evaluate, maintain and repair plumbing systems such as drains, faucets, valves, and lines.
• Evaluate, maintain and repair electrical fixtures such as ballasts, switches, and outlets.
• Evaluate, maintain and repair building systems
• Perform minimal HVAC maintenance such as replacing air filters, light cleaning of drain lines
• Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance
• Maintain and enforce company’s safety procedures at all times

ACI provides construction services, facility support and maintenance for over 300 businesses in the Baton Rouge area. We’re looking for a professional who can take the initiative and help anticipate problems before they occur. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with tenants, visitors and anyone else he or she encounters on the job. Duties can vary from day to day and a maintenance schedule may be implemented so time management is required

Work environment

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and employee could be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. This position is performed primary in indoor conditions but can be performed in outside weather conditions.
