The Town of Newington, NH, is seeking a part-time Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer who also serves as Zoning Administrator and Health Officer. The role oversees excavation permits and building projects, with a 32-hour work week.

The Town of Newington (assessed valuation: $1,293,822,000) is seeking a part time Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer. The Inspector also serves as Zoning Administrator and Health Officer for the town and issues all excavation permits. The position manages the town buildings repair and improvement projects.
The Inspector manages and reports on all Code Enforcement and Town Building budget expenditures and revenues. Position reports to the Town Administrator.

This position is a part-time, non-benefited 32 hours per week. Certification from the International Code Council as a Commercial Building Inspector, Residential Building Inspector and Building Plans Examiner preferred. Valid NH drivers license required. A bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience desired. Current pay range: $50.+ per hour commensurate with education and experience.
