City of Florence is seeking a Building Inspector to enforce local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards through regular site inspections and plan reviews. You will work with contractors and property owners to ensure code compliance during construction and occupancy, reporting to the Building Official.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in construction-related fields); ICC Building Inspector certification preferred;

$24.20/hour; 37.5 hours/week

The Building Inspector is responsible for ensuring that construction projects and existing structures comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards. This role involves regular site inspections, reviewing plans and permits, and working with contractors and property owners to ensure code compliance throughout construction and occupancy phases. The Building Inspector reports directly to the Building Official.
