Job summary

Roof Penetration Housing (RPH) is seeking a Specification Writer to develop precise, field-ready documentation for roofing and building envelope systems. The role focuses on installation manuals, data sheets, CSI specifications, and submittals, ensuring accuracy and usability across products.

You will work across engineering, marketing, and internal teams, translating complex information into clear documents and maintaining consistent formatting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven technical writing experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering.
• Strong ability to convert complex technical information into clear, accessible documentation.
• Experience reading architectural or engineering drawings; portfolio required with resume submission.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain installation manuals, data sheets, and specifications.
• Produce CSI specifications, submittals, and editable guide specifications.
• Translate drawings and product information into clear, step-by-step instructions with visuals.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and internal teams to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Maintain formatting, terminology, and document control across product lines.
• Develop training materials and internal reference documents as needed.
