Metric Geo is seeking a Building Enclosure Consultant to support a diverse portfolio of commercial, educational, retail, and institutional projects across Florida. The role combines field investigations, testing, inspections, and forensic evaluations under senior mentorship.

Responsibilities include visual enclosure assessments, reviewing drawings, performing field tests per ASTM/AAMA/ANSI standards, and contributing to design recommendations for enclosure systems.

Qualifications

• Active Florida P.E. in Florida (or RA) preferred or in process.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or building science preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of building enclosure, roofing/waterproofing, or related experience.

• Perform visual enclosure assessments and moisture surveys under senior mentorship.
• Assist with forensic evaluations of enclosure/roofing systems showing distress.
• Conduct field testing of roofing, waterproofing, and curtain wall systems per standards.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and submittals related to enclosure systems.
• Support QA observations and site inspections against contract documents.

Building Envelope Consultant

A firm is seeking a motivated Building Enclosure Consultant to join a diverse portfolio of commercial, educational, retail, multi-family, manufacturing, and institutional projects across Florida, spanning both public and private sectors.

Role Overview

This position combines field investigations, testing, inspections, forensic evaluations, and consulting on building enclosure systems, roofing, waterproofing, windows, and exterior wall assemblies — working under senior mentorship across both field and office settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual enclosure assessments, moisture surveys, pre-design investigations, and property condition assessments under senior mentorship
• Assist with forensic evaluations of enclosure/roofing systems showing distress, water intrusion, or performance deficiencies
• Conduct field testing of roofing, waterproofing, fenestration, and curtain wall systems per ASTM/AAMA/TAS/ANSI standards
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and submittals related to enclosure systems
• Support QA observations and site inspections against contract documents and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Active, clean P.E. in Florida (or R.A.)
• 3+ years' experience in building enclosure, roofing/waterproofing consulting, forensic investigation, or related work
• Working knowledge of building construction practices and enclosure systems
• Ability to read architectural drawings, plans, and specifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or building science preferred

Preferred

• Exposure to remedial design/repair recommendations
• Familiarity with ASTM/AAMA/FM/ANSI/TAS standards
