Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti's Building Envelope team seeks an Intern for Spring 2027 to gain hands-on experience evaluating and improving building envelopes and interior systems on restoration, renovation and adaptive reuse projects. You will work with experienced architects and engineers in a collaborative environment to learn practical, constructible solutions.

The Co-Op is designed for current undergraduates or graduates pursuing Architecture, with strong academics and an interest in building

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Architecture.
• Strong academic record and interest in building performance, envelope design, and renovation projects.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or architectural detailing tools is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in field inspections and data collection for building envelopes and architectural systems.
• Support assessments of system performance, code compliance and feasibility studies for renovations and restoration design.
• Help prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications and reports for project teams and clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, constructible solutions.
