Job summary

Crystal Mountain is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain the resort's public buildings and spaces according to company standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, safety and security. The night shift runs from 10pm to 6am, with weekends and holidays a regular part of the schedule.

  • Prefer at least two years of related general repair experience.
  • Must have basic working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or other general repair skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned work orders for general repair within the time frame to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as painting and carpet/floor cleaning.
  • Perform minor HVAC adjustments and replace components as needed.
  • Perform minor repairs or replacements of room furniture, fixtures and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining the resorts public buildings and spaces in accordance with Company standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety and security. The hours for this shift are 10pm – 6am.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned work orders for general repair within assigned time frame in order to achieve the utmost operational efficiency of the resort and its equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance throughout the property, to include painting, carpet/floor cleaning, etc.
  • Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, including the repair and/or replacement of air conditioning units.
  • Perform minor repairs and/or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment to include television sets, light fixtures, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must have basic working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or other general repair skills.

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical & Other Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
  • Must have unrestricted and insurable Michigan driving record.
