Job summary

Colliers is seeking a Building Engineer to safeguard and optimize our commercial properties. You will maintain mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, monitor life safety and security, and develop productive relationships with property managers and vendors.

You’ll manage logs, respond to service requests, coordinate contractors and approvals, and ensure safety and cost efficiency. A technical mindset, strong organization, and customer focus are essential, along with CFC certification

Qualifications

At least 3 years' experience in building/property maintenance or engineering within commercial buildings.
CFC Certification (or ability to obtain).
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related building systems.
Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
On-call availability for after-hours/weekend emergencies.
Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

Maintain daily operating logs for HVAC, fans, meters and general complaints.
Ensure tenant requests are handled efficiently at the lowest cost.
Coordinate contractor, tenant, and management approvals for work orders.
Understand operating procedures and chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.
