Job summary

Silver Ventures is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain the physical condition of assigned properties and perform day-to-day maintenance as directed by the Chief Building Engineer.

The role requires monitoring building systems, completing service requests, and performing routine inspections. You will be on-call for after-hours emergencies and must uphold safety standards and professional conduct with tenants and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Open availability including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment critical to building operation.
• Fluent in English.
• Good communication and legible directions.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
• Ability to remain calm and think clearly under pressure.
• Ability to troubleshoot emergencies and respond promptly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
• Complete assigned maintenance service requests.
• Perform routine property inspections; identify maintenance deficiencies and make repairs.
• Timely completion of preventive and scheduled routine maintenance tasks in accordance with the property maintenance plan.
• Be on-call to perform after-hours emergency maintenance service when scheduled as on-call.
• Assure safety standards are used in compliance with company, local, City, State, Federal and Pearl guidelines.
• Create, monitor and update work orders via the electronic work order system.
• Maintain and control necessary inventory to complete repairs efficiently and promptly.
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
• Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism & courtesy with tenants, vendors & fellow employees.
• Be responsive and reliable to tenants, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance, always dressed in accordance with the dress code and uniform standards.
