Job summary

Union Depot is seeking a Building Engineer responsible for the management and operation of facility services in mission-critical environments. You will supervise HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems and serve as the primary ABM point of contact for daily operations.

You will lead a team of Critical Facility Technicians, Assistant Chief Engineers, and external contractors, driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement to achieve 100% uptime.

Job description

The Building Engineer holds full responsibility for the management and operation of facility services within mission-critical environments. Serving as the primary ABM point of contact for daily operations, this role supports site leadership in overseeing all building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure. Key responsibilities include maintenance and repair of hard surfaces, basic carpentry and metalwork, and the operation and upkeep of facility system equipment. The Building Engineer also handles customer service requests, manages work orders, and performs additional duties as assigned.

This role is instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and reliability, building and leading a team of Critical Facility Technicians, Assistant Chief Engineers, and external contractors to achieve 100% operational availability. A strong emphasis is placed on continuous improvement, staff development, and operational excellence.

Pay:$33 per hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’sexperience, skills, abilities, geographic location,and alignment with market data. This is an overnight position.
