Salary: $15.00 - $19.92/Hourly

Purpose:

This intermittent position is responsible for cleaning the Education in the Unorganized Territory school on a daily basis to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of standards for cleanliness of grounds, buildings, and equipment
  • Knowledge of school building codes and laws
  • Knowledge of precautions necessary to safeguard personnel, property, and equipment
  • Knowledge of maintenance and minor repair of plumbing, heating, and electrical systems and fixtures
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in janitorial work
  • Ability to climb to the height of school roof/ceiling
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment used in high-traffic facilities
  • Ability to maintain standards for cleaning buildings and grounds
  • Ability to communicate positively with staff and pupils
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to perform manual tasks related to cleaning and maintenance
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience and training demonstrating basic knowledge of building and grounds maintenance and repair
