Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Building Automation Technician I to learn and perform on-site coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems. You will assist with control startup, diagnose and repair systems, and support project managers, subcontractors, and customers across site activities.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational and customer skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs: Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Access, Power Point.
• Basic understanding of networks.
• Good conceptual aptitude.
• Interest in Building Automation (HVAC and/or other building systems).
• Product or Industry knowledge is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist with control commissioning and startup of new control systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair control systems wiring, hardware, and software.
• Diagnose communication problems with control devices and components.
• Create, load, test, and tune system databases.
• Install, replace, and recommission control systems devices, equipment, and software.
• Coordinate subcontractors as required.
• Provide on-site training to customers as needed.
• Provide emergency and warranty services as required.
• Create and maintain test records and as-built documentation.
• Conform to project site safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Assist in basic field startup using standard startup and checkout process.
• Assist senior technicians and project managers with input to as-built changes.
• Assist project manager with material delivery and logistics using Design 360 and Prometheus apps.
