POSITION SUMMARY:

Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance/repair of building automation systems for airport monitoring technology. Work to ensure continuous integration between various systems/equipment/peripheral devices and main computer hub(s).

Responsibilities

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Completes basic maintenance assignments involving but not limited to preventive, routine and emergency maintenance, clearing system faults; cleaning, and/or electrical and software diagnostics/adjustments.
  • Monitors system operation; diagnoses equipment failures; ensures equipment is running safely.
  • Provides direction, guidance and expertise to other personnel assigned to assist in maintenance and repair activities.
  • Reads and interprets technical documents, repair manuals, basic schematics and supervisor/manager’s instructions.
  • Runs reports and analytics as well as verifies input data for accuracy for various systems and processes which can be easily interpreted by others.
  • Uses system generated data to look for trends in component behavior and creates proactive solutions to mitigate downtime and incidents.
  • Performs repairs and diagnostics for networks, control modules and peripheral devices.
  • Installs and configures new equipment and software.
  • Works in tight and/or high spaces utilizing appropriate PPE and fall protection equipment.
  • Follows and complies with all company and federally established policies and procedures; completes all applicable training courses assigned by the company.
  • Completes forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures.
  • Performs additional duties or assignments as may be required by management.
  • Completes all safety training as assigned by the Company.
  • Compliance with all DSUS safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties or assignments that may be required by management from time to time.
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous working experience with advanced controls systems and/or building automation systems.
  • Post secondary schooling in a computer sciences, networking or system configuration field.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous mechanical or electrical experience.
  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous work experience in an Airport environment.
  • Previous experience working with building management systems and devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in an industrial environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous basic electrical and/or electronic systems work experience.
  • 4+ years industrial electrical background.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with PLC logic, industrial electrical controls (troubleshooting and repair), and/or Industrial HVAC certification.
  • Advanced computer skills.

Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge, at an intermediate level in working with Microsoft Windows to include: Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security badge.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Company’s insurance policy.
  • Must be able to comply with the DSUS Drug and Alcohol policy.
  • Must be committed to working safely while accomplishing all tasks and promoting a safe work environment at all times.
