Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Project Manager to lead and manage cross-functional projects from inception through execution. You will report to the Operations Manager and drive excellence in project delivery, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in technical fields, a bachelor’s degree, and strong PM skills. PMP is preferred. The role emphasizes cost control, risk management, and strong customer relationships within a US-based team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience in PM/Operations/Engineering.
  • 6+ years in building automation, construction, mechanical/electrical fields or similar.
  • Proficient in project management skills and scheduling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate turnovers between sales, design, execution and service.
  • Ensure project execution quality and comprehensive documentation.
  • Oversee document control: RFIs, meeting minutes, logs and punch lists.
  • Monitor portfolio financials and manage risks to profitability.
  • Maintain and update project schedules and customer relationships.

Job description

The Project Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be an active participant in the development and implementation of Operations Excellence.

Duties include but not limited to:
  • Manage and support the completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Conduct all departmental reviews / turnovers during each stage of the project (Sale to Ops, Ops to Sales, design, execution, and Ops to Service)
  • Fully accountable for the quality of the project execution and documentation
  • Manages all document control for projects, including but not limited to RFI's, meeting minutes, punch lists, transmittal log, submittal log, change order log and issues log
  • Overall Project Portfolio Financial Management
  • Monitor and control progress & budget, assess and manage the risks to meet customer satisfaction and project profitability.
  • Maintain project schedules.
  • Develop strong relationships with customer base through excellent project execution.
  • Contribute to the project managers community within Schneider Electric.
  • Resolve project related issues through RFI's, field surveys, and documentation
Qualifications:

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree or related experience preferred (e.g. Project Management, Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering, etc.)
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the industry of building automation, construction, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or another technical related field.
  • Understanding of and proficient in project management skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Professional Scheduling Programs
  • Financial acumen and understanding
  • Excellent customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Influence and convince internal and external customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.
  • Handle multiple demands and assignments, prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • PMP certification preferred.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
