Overview

Building Automation Project Manager

My client is a top notch Building Automation and Energy Management company that is actively seeking a Project Manager with strong Building Automation skills for the Phoenix area. The company requires your Building Automation background.

Responsibilities

• Focused on managing BAS retrofit, upgrade, and new install projects for commercial/industrial buildings in the Phoenix area.
• 10 years working on BAS in some fashion is ideal, but close to that or tangential experience will be considered.
• Ideally 5 years managing BAS projects, but close to that would work.
• System experience isn’t critical with this role as long as it has been in building controls; primarily Niagara knowledge is helpful but not required.
• Must have worked on projects with BAS systems, understand what you do, how you work, how to discuss them, and what goes into a project.
• Hands-on with projects, on-site supervision of install technicians. Expected balance is approximately 50% office / 50% in field, though this can vary (sometimes 75% in field or 75% in office).

Qualifications

• Experience in Building Automation or Mechanical Contracting is preferred for this Project Manager role.
• Strong communication and project management skills with the ability to discuss BAS with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Building Automation concepts, controls, and project lifecycle.
