Job summary

The Building People is seeking a Building Controls Technician to design, program, test, and commission DDC building automation systems for commercial properties. The role is centered in Washington DC with a Leesburg HQ reference and requires up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities include configuring hardware and software, graphics, sequences of operations, documentation, owner training and startup of new hardware, plus coordinating with subcontractors and customers as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with programming, startup and commissioning of control systems.
• Niagara N4 certification is required.
• Experience with multiple manufacturers of controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project plans and contract documents.
• Program projects with varying levels of complexity.
• Perform network and database troubleshooting and repair programming.
• Collaborate with engineering on configuration, networks, graphics, and sequences of operations.
• Develop and configure sequences of operations and integrations into third party systems.
