Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America is seeking a Controls Engineer to develop control databases, graphics, and programming sequences while providing hands‑on startup and commissioning support for building automation projects. You will troubleshoot Distech or Niagara platforms, maintain documentation, and ensure systems meet codes and client needs.

The role requires deep knowledge of electrical diagrams, BACnet MSTP/IP, and field commissioning, with travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience with Tridium and/or Distech building controls (field commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting).
• 3+ years of BACnet MSTP experience with commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of experience with programming and building automation controls database management.
• 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting basic electric and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting electrical diagrams.
• 3+ years of experience with field experience in building automation controls programming, network integration, and system commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide Controls database, graphics, programming, etc. for sequences as provided by the Design Specialist or project specs.
• Start-up and commissioning including point-to-point checkout on projects.
• BACnet MSTP/IP configuration and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with installation personnel, contractors, and project managers on sites.
• Debug and troubleshoot installation issues during static and dynamic startup and commissioning.
• Provide input to estimate, design, installation, startup, commissioning, and training for building systems.
• Deliver start-up documentation including logs, check-out logs, and commissioning documents.
• Provide hands-on service support to ensure systems meet occupancy codes and operate efficiently.
• Assist in turnover of projects from Operations to Service teams.
