Job summary

Uline is hiring a Building Automation and Controls Manager to guide BAS strategy, optimize systems, and lead engineers across 55+ facilities. The role focuses on improving energy efficiency, reliability, and system integrity while partnering with operations and construction teams.

The position requires a strong background in BAS programming and HVAC systems, plus a track record in leading engineering teams and managing cross-site projects. Travel across North America is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years in Building Automation Systems with BAS programming.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems; travel to NA locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of HVAC controls and BAS for 55+ facilities.
• Develop and mentor a team of Building System Engineers.
• Maintain system upgrades and cybersecurity policies across the organization.
• Collaborate with Operations and Construction teams to improve building controls.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead the design and direct optimization of HVAC controls and Building Automation Systems (BAS) for our growing portfolio of 55+ buildings.
• Develop a team of Building System Engineers to ensure efficient operations and performance standards are met.
• Maintain and support system upgrades, cybersecurity policies and standard processes throughout the organization.
• Partner with the Operations and Construction teams to identify improvements for building controls.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of Building Automation Systems experience including BAS programming.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems.
• Available for travel to Uline’s North American locations.
