Job summary

Crown Technical Systems in Dallas, TX is seeking a Building Assembler – Prep for Shipment to join our manufacturing team. You will prepare buildings and manufactured products for shipment, following blueprints and quality checks.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 1–2 years in assembly in a manufacturing setting. You will operate power tools, manage materials, and maintain a clean, safe workstation daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of related assembly experience in manufacturing.
• Reading blueprints, wiring drawings, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Basic math to meet specifications and measurements.
• Basic understanding of tools used in assembly.
• Ability to safely operate powered equipment (forklift etc.).

Responsibilities

• Remove exterior equipment and loose items for shipping.
• Paint or touch up painted items and board up access holes.
• Clean and inspect buildings in prep for shipment; report defects.
• Review blueprints, diagrams, drawings and procedures to complete assemblies.
• Use power tools and hand tools to complete tasks.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and tools at workstation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Building Assembler – Prep for Shipment located in Dallas, TX.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Building Assembler – Prep for Shipment is responsible for preparing buildings and manufactured products for shipment.

Work Shift:

Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

What a typical day looks like:

• Remove exterior equipment and loose items for shipping
• Paint/ touch up paint of manufactured items; Board up all access holes
• Clean and inspect the buildings in preparation for shipment; record and report defects accordingly
• Review, analyze, and follow various blueprints, diagrams, drawing, procedures, and work instructions to complete assemblies
• Uses various power tools and hand tools (ex. Drills, impacts, screwdrivers, grinders, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks
• Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies, tools, and parts in workstation
• Perform all other duties as assigned

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of related experience in assembly in a manufacturing setting
• Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams
• Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
• Basic understanding of tools (ex. Tape measure, impact drill, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency with the ability to safety operate powered equipment (forklift, reach truck, scissors lift, overhead crane, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds at a time.
• Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
• Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
