Job summary

Lingo Staffing in Powhatan, VA is hiring Builders/Production Associates for 1st and 2nd shifts. You will assemble roof, floor, and wall panels, operate hand/power tools, and read blueprints. Entry-level candidates are welcome and bilingual English/Spanish is encouraged.

Overtime is available and PPE is provided. Typical shifts include 1st shift 6:00 AM–2:30 PM at $18.00/hour and 2nd shift 4:00 PM–2:30 AM at $19.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in truss building, construction, carpentry, framing, manufacturing, or assembly is a plus.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome and must be willing to learn.
• Read and write in English or Spanish; bilinguals encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assemble roof, floors, wall panels, and other building components.
• Follow blueprints, cut sheets, layouts and supervisor instructions.
• Measure and verify dimensions of lumber and materials.
• Use hammers, nail guns, and other hand and power tools.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical, fast-paced work.

Lingo Staffing is now hiring Builder /Production Associates in the Powhatan, VA area to start ASAP!

Builders / Production Associates - Assemble building material components, including roof, floor, and wall panels. This is a hands‑on manufacturing position working with lumber, hand tools, power tools, and production equipment. Candidates with construction, carpentry, assembly, and manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply. Entry‑level candidates who are comfortable using tools and willing to learn are also welcome!

Pay & Schedule:

1st Shift - $18.00/hour

• Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Overtime available, including Saturdays as needed

2nd Shift - $19.50/hour

• Monday-Thursday: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (10-hour Shifts)
• Friday overtime available as needed

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Assemble roof, floors, wall panels, and other building components
• Previous truss building, construction, carpentry, framing, manufacturing, or assembly experience is a plus.
• Position, clamp, splice, and fit lumber according to production specifications
• Follow blueprints, cut sheets, layouts, and supervisor instructions
• Measure and verify dimensions of lumber and other materials
• Use hammers, nail guns, other hands and power tools
• Position metal reinforcement plates over connecting joints
• Operate assigned press stations to properly secure plates onto lumber
• Inspect completed products for accuracy and quality
• Identify damaged or incorrect materials before assembly
• Comfortable working with lumber and building materials
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
• Ability to follow measurements, layouts, and work instructions
• Must be dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Willingness to learn and cross-train in different production areas
• Ability to read and write in English or Spanish
• Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply
• Must be able to perform physical, hands‑on work throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, squat, and bend for extended periods.
