Job summary

Armstrong Group is seeking a construction low voltage installer in Texas to complete wiring runs for residential products and trim runs as builds progress. You will interpret housing plans to install smart home devices, security systems, and audio/entertainment equipment.

We emphasize high-quality workmanship, safety, and strong customer relations with onsite managers and contractors. A high school diploma or GED is required, with driving eligibility and growth potential within a Top 10 company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in low voltage wiring or related field.
• Experience with power tools and handheld tools preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality wiring installations in homes under construction according to design plans.
• Maintain professional relationships with onsite project managers, superintendents and contractors.
• Ensure accurate control of inventory and use of tools and equipment.
• Accurately complete work orders, time records and construction schedules.
• Ability to obtain trade licenses and registrations as required by state and local regulations.

As the construction phase progresses, you’ll trim these wire runs to accommodate specific build options, including smart home and security devices, audio and entertainment systems, and more.You’ll need to interpret housing plans accurately to run wires in a construction environment. Both warm and cold weather uniforms are provided.Equipment Handling: Use ladders, power tools and move equipment between worksites as needed.Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. without assistance.What you’ll need:Experience:A minimum of 2 years’ experience performing similar duties, preferably in home security, cable TV, telephone service, electrical or low voltage wiring industries preferable.Experience with power tools as well as handheld tools preferable.Education:High school diploma or GED.Driving Requirements:Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history.Who We AreThe Armstrong Group is a family owned and operated collection of diverse companies.
