Prototype Build Technician - Lake Orion, MI.
Six-Week Assignment
Day Shift - 7:00am - 4:00pm
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Job Summary of the Prototype Build Technician:The Prototype Build Technician is responsible for hands-on assembly, debugging, and verification of prototype battery pack systems.
Responsibilities of the Prototype Build Technician:- Hands-on individual contributor role responsible for the successful assembly and building of products to meet customer requirements and expectations
- Work with the engineering team to assemble products to customer requirements and company goals
- Assemble highly complex prototype mechanical and electrical components
- Work with and report prototyping problems to Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME), Production Engineering, and the Launch Manager to eliminate future production problems
- Perform preventative maintenance activities to support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
- Lead efforts in developing, implementing, and maintaining the TPM system
- Support Maintenance Technicians, as required
- Participate when required in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and work instruction reviews
- Identify and support continuous improvement projects (e.g. cost reduction, efficiency improvements)
- Assist with specification development for machinery and equipment
- Support weekend and off-shift work as required
- Support multiple facilities in other states
- Data entry into multiple platforms
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to compliance and ergonomic guidelines
- Adhere to federal and state regulations
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
- Predictable and reliable attendance
Position Qualifications of the Prototype Build Technician:- Minimum of two (2) years of college studies in a related field (Computer Aided Design - CAD, Computer Aided Engineering - CAE, Electrical Engineering), or equivalent experience in electrification assembly line/high voltage/electrical component handling/battery manufacturing
- Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing or mechanic experience
- Experience working under quality systems such as ISO 9001
- Able to work in a flexible team environment
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
