Job summary

Cerro Fabricated Products, Inc. is seeking a Buffing and Packing Associate to buff forged parts and package them for shipment. The role emphasizes attention to detail, following process instructions, and maintaining safe work habits. Shift: 3pm-11pm; Pay: starting at $18 per hour.

Responsibilities include buffing parts to required finishes, inspecting for defects, labeling and packing finished components, and documenting production data while maintaining a clean and safety-conscious work area.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
• Sitting for prolonged periods may be required.

Responsibilities

• Buff forged parts to meet surface finish standards.
• Visually inspect parts for defects, burrs, or irregularities.
• Package finished parts securely and label per spec.
• Follow procedures and work instructions for buffing and packing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools properly.
• Accurately track and document production, inspection, and packing data.
• Report material shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisor.
• Comply with all safety guidelines and wear PPE.
