Job summary

Good-Day-Farm is seeking a Budtender to greet and assist patients in a friendly, compliant retail environment. You will help customers select cannabis products based on needs and budget, stay current on new products, process payments, and maintain a tidy, well-stocked store.

The role requires knowledge of cannabis strains, excellent customer service, and teamwork. A background check and state agent card are required; high school diploma or GED is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a Budtender preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain a facility agent card from the state.
• Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

The Budtender greets and welcomes patients, helps patients with product selections, adheres to policies and procedures, and ensures a wonderful patient experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides a wonderful experience for the patient.
• Advises patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
• Keepes abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends.
• Processes patients’ payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Ensures that the store is always clean and well-organized.
• Educates patients on the safe use of their selected cannabis product.
• Correctly weighs, packages, and labels cannabis products, as required.
• Checks patient’s identification documents to verify that they are of legal age and hold the necessary credentials needed to enter the dispensary and purchase product.
• Takes inventory of cannabis products and ensures that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
• Ensures that assigned opening and closing tasks are completed.
• Maintains compliance by following the proper policies and procedures set by the company and the state.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
• Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
