Job summary

Good Day Farm is seeking a Budtender to greet patients, assist with product selections, and ensure a positive shopping experience. You will advise on cannabis products, stay updated on new strains and trends, and handle payments through the POS system.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of cannabis products and safety. You may participate in inventory and compliance tasks on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven experience working as a Budtender is preferred but not required
  • Ability to pass a background check and receive a facility agent card from the state
  • Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Work well with other team members

Responsibilities

  • Provides a wonderful experience for the patient.
  • Advises patients on suitable cannabis products based on needs, budgets, and reactions to different strains.
  • Keeps abreast of new cannabis products and industry trends.
  • Processes patients’ payments using the dispensary's POS system.
  • Ensures the store is clean and well-organized.
  • Educates patients on the safe use of their selected cannabis product.
  • Correctly weighs, packages, and labels cannabis products.
  • Checks patient IDs and credentials for legal age and entry eligibility.
  • Takes inventory and ensures the sales floor is stocked.
  • Completes opening and closing tasks.
  • Maintains compliance with company and state policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

About the Role:

The Budtender greets and welcomes patients, helps patients with product selections, adheres to policies and procedures, and ensures a wonderful patient experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provides a wonderful experience for the patient.
  • Advises patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
  • Keepes abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends.
  • Processes patients’ payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Ensures that the store is always clean and well-organized.
  • Educates patients on the safe use of their selected cannabis product.
  • Correctly weighs, packages, and labels cannabis products, as required.
  • Checks patient’s identification documents to verify that they are of legal age and hold the necessary credentials needed to enter the dispensary and purchase product.
  • Takes inventory of cannabis products and ensures that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
  • Ensures that assigned opening and closing tasks are completed.
  • Maintains compliance by following the proper policies and procedures set by the company and the state.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
