Job summary

CODES Cannabis in Missouri is seeking a Budtender to greet patients, recommend cannabis products, and ensure a welcoming, compliant shopping experience. You will assist with product selections, explain effects, manage POS transactions, keep the store organized, and uphold state regulations.

Prior Budtender experience is preferred but not required; you must pass a background check and obtain a state facility agent card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience as a Budtender preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Missouri facility agent card.
• Solid knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Able to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with product selections to meet needs and budgets.
• Advise on cannabis products based on patient preferences and responses to strains.
• Stay informed about new products and industry trends.
• Process payments using the dispensary POS system.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and compliant with policies.
• Educate patients on safe use of products.
• Weigh, package, and label cannabis products as required.
• Verify age and credentials of customers entering the dispensary.
• Monitor inventory and ensure adequate stock on the sales floor.
• Complete opening and closing tasks as assigned.
• Maintain state and company compliance at all times.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

About The Role

The Budtender greets and welcomes patients, helps patients with product selections, adheres to policies and procedures, and ensures a wonderful patient experience.

• Provides a wonderful experience for the patient.
• Advises patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
• Keepes abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends.
• Processes patients’ payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Ensures that the store is always clean and well-organized.
• Educates patients on the safe use of their selected cannabis product.
• Correctly weighs, packages, and labels cannabis products, as required.
• Checks patient’s identification documents to verify that they are of legal age and hold the necessary credentials needed to enter the dispensary and purchase product.
• Takes inventory of cannabis products and ensures that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
• Ensures that assigned opening and closing tasks are completed.
• Maintains compliance by following the proper policies and procedures set by the company and the state.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
• Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
