Job summary

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement in Evanston, IL, is seeking a Budget & Financial Analyst for a hybrid role (Tuesdays and Thursdays onsite). The position supports strategic budgeting, financial planning, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure resource alignment and operational efficiency.

You will analyze data, prepare reports, and help guide senior management decisions while contributing to long-term value for the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of directly related experience.
  • Experience with Adaptive and Workday is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department leaders to gather financial data and provide budgeting insights.
  • Evaluate budget variances and propose cost-saving measures.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Budget & Financial Analyst at UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement, based in our Evanston, Illinois, office.

The Budget Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the strategic financial and budget planning processes and to help ensure alignment with the organization's financial strategy. This role provides budget recommendations on operational efficiencies and improvements to support strategic utilization of resources, guide organizational decision making, and help provide analytical acumen.

This is a hybrid position (Tuesday & Thursday onsite) at our Evanston, IL office.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:
