Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. (SSI) seeks a senior-level professional to support contingent workforce initiatives and related staffing efforts in a government contracting environment.

The role focuses on acquisition and financial documentation, budget execution analysis, and program risk assessment for DoD aviation programs. Successful candidates will have extensive DoD acquisition experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with government, military, and contractor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two years of relevant experience or MA/MS in a relevant discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience performing duties similar to the functional description.
  • 5 years of experience supporting Naval aviation or comparable DoD acquisition programs.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work effectively with government, military, and contractor stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional briefs, reports, and correspondence.
  • Associate’s degree plus four years of relevant experience may substitute for a master’s degree.
  • Six additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a master’s degree.
  • Experience supporting ACAT or major defense acquisition programs.
  • Strong understanding of acquisition documentation, funding documents, CDRLs, and performance work statements.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and coordination of acquisition and financial documentation required to execute program objectives.
  • Assist with acquisition strategy reports, procurement initiation documentation, performance work statements, funding documents, CDRLs, and baseline-related materials.
  • Analyze budget execution, funding requirements, and financial status to support program decision-making.
  • Review program procedures, documentation, and financial products for completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable guidance.
  • Develop financial inputs for briefs, point papers, correspondence, reports, meetings, conferences, and review boards.
  • Support program milestone events, budget reviews, acquisition reviews, and internal coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate with acquisition, contracting, business financial management, logistics, and technical stakeholders.
  • Track program funding actions, financial issues, suspense items, and documentation status.
  • Prepare senior-level analysis and recommendations related to budget execution, acquisition planning, and program risk.
  • Provide clear written and verbal updates to government and contractor leadership.

Work Environment

  • This position supports a Department of War aviation acquisition program and may require on-site support at a government or contractor facility.
  • The role requires frequent coordination with government customers, contractor teammates, and cross-functional technical and business teams.
  • Work products may include program documentation, briefings, reports, schedules, financial inputs, action item trackers, and meeting support materials.
