Description Of Job
The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to serve as a Budget Analyst II within the Financial Services Division . This role is vital in ensuring that state financial resources are utilized effectively and efficiently while maintaining full compliance with all statutes, fiscal rules, and Department policies .
As a Budget Analyst II, you will be responsible for organizing, interpreting, and reporting financial data for assigned divisions across the Department . You will use your excellent communication skills to relay complex financial information in an understandable way to a variety of audiences . Additionally, you will leverage your proficiency in financial systems and Excel to manage complex spreadsheets and models when gathering, organizing, and analyzing critical financial data . Experience Only
Minimum Qualifications:
Six (6) years of relevant experience in an budget analysis, budget development and implementation, and/or policy development and implementation.
Or
Education And Experience
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in Public or Business Administration, Political Science and Government, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or other as determined by the department equal to six (6) years in an occupation related to the work assigned.
Current, valid licensure as a CPA by the Colorado Board of Accountancy will substitute for the degree requirement and two (2) years of the required experience

Conditions Of Employment With The CDOR
Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence.
As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy. Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment. Certain positions based on duties may require scheduled background investigations .
Pursuant to the Universal Driving Standards Policy , any worker who will be expected to drive a State-owned vehicle is responsible for maintaining a safe driving record and a valid driver license prior to driving any State-owned vehicle.
