POSITION: Budget Analyst (HCRM)(Redstone Arsenal, AL)
STARTING SALARY: $50,980 - $98,079 per year
PAY PROGRESSION:
NOTE: Must apply on both Handshake and USAJOBS. U.S. citizenship is required in order to qualify.
This position as a Budget Analyst is part of the Army Fellows Program and is a CIVILIAN position with the Department of the Army. The Army Fellows Program is a two-year fellowship as a federal civilian. We hire fellows as permanent, full-time employees with full pay and benefits. Guaranteed placement is offered after the fellowship for those who meet requirements.

Who May Apply: To be eligible for consideration you must meet the definition of recent graduate as defined below:
Recent Graduate: a person who was awarded a degree by an institution of higher education not more than two years before the date of the appointment of the applicant. Exception: For a person who has completed a period of obligated service in a uniformed service of more than four years, the degree may be awarded by an institution of higher education not more than four years before the date of the appointment of the applicant.
Basic Requirement for a Budget Analyst:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with budget line items; or, assisting in budget formulation; or, assisting in monitoring the expenditure of funds; or, assisting in generating budgetary reports.
OR
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business, management, accounting, auditing, finance, data analytics/science, business analytics, management science, mathematics, operations research, economics, and statistics.
OR
Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion (or completion no later than December 2024) of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
