The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS or Department) oversees the day-to-day operations of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police, and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVE). We currently have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Budget Analyst. This position reports to the agency's Budget Director.

Develops, prepares, analyzes and/or revises budgets and supporting schedules for assigned organizations or program areas. Performs review and analysis of budget program and policy issues, analyzes financial trends or proposed legislation and recommends appropriate courses of action to management. Performs expenditure analyses and prepares budget-related financial summaries and recommendations for management review.
Note: The selected candidate will be hired at the level (Budget Analyst 1or 2) that best matches their education and experience, and the salary will be commensurate with experience.
