Job summary

Pittsburgh Public Schools is seeking a Budget Analyst to assist with the financial management of the District's General Fund and supplemental-funded budgets. The role involves budget development, analysis, reporting, and ensuring compliance across sites and programs.

  • Ability to work productively with external auditors and vendors.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with schools and other departments.

  • Conduct budget training for school-based and program staff.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards for the annual Single Audit of the School District.
  • Perform continuous research and data entry in Munis.
  • Respond to inquiries from Principals and Program Managers by providing information and assistance before and during the operation of programs.
  • All other duties as assigned.

This position requires individuals to live in the territorial boundaries of the School District of Pittsburgh. If hired for this position you will be required to establish residence within three calendar months of your hire date with Pittsburgh Public Schools.
