Position Summary

Established in 2008, the PSU BSW Program is the only CSWE accredited undergraduate social work degree offered in a public institution of higher education in Oregon. PSU’s BSW Program emphasizes critical thinking, innovative pedagogy, anti-oppressive, equity-aligned, and transformative social work practice.

Instructors who demonstrate an interest in and ability to realize the mission, values, and vision of the SSW and the BSW program are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those with knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to racial equity, healing-centered liberation and abolitionary practices, decolonizing and indigenizing, transformative and restorative justice, and critical, anti-oppressive, and social justice-oriented frameworks.

We are committed to hiring a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce. Persons with lived experience from communities of color, women, persons with disabilities, low-income communities, veterans, LGBTQ+ community members, and members of Oregon’s nine federally recognized Indian tribes are encouraged to apply.

This position is open to instructors interested in teaching in Portland, Oregon, and/or in our online (asynchronous) program.
