Job summary

Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Infusion department. This position follows a PRN/weekend schedule with potential for per diem hours and adherence to hospital policies and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities include coordinating care across disciplines, implementing care plans, teaching patients and families, and ensuring discharge planning needs are met while complying with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in nursing is required at hire; a BSN within 5 years.
• RN license in Kentucky and BLS certification within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; document and communicate patient status.
• Assess discharge planning needs with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Educate patient and family considering age, culture and learning needs.
• Perform duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
