Job summary

Texas Baptists seeks a Director of BSM to lead growth on campus in collaboration with the University’s Spiritual Life Department. The role directs student leadership, evangelism, discipleship strategies, and international ministry, while engaging local churches and alumni for support.

The position requires a Master’s degree, strong evangelistic leadership, and the ability to raise funds; supervision of interns and staff is expected within a dynamic collegiate ministry.

Qualifications

• Requires gifting in Discipleship / Evangelism, leadership development, visioning and strategic thinking.
• Master’s degree from an accredited seminary; Baptist seminary preferred.
• Active BGCT church membership supportive of BSM ministry.
• Ability to raise funds from alumni and churches.
• Strong evangelistic and leadership skills; professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct total BSM ministry per Texas Baptists Center for Collegiate Ministry vision.
• Coordinate student leadership, evangelism, discipleship and Go Now Missions.
• Interact with University Spiritual Life Department and campus churches.
• Oversee budget planning, reporting, and adherence to university guidelines.
• Provide supervision to interns and office staff; develop goals and evaluate performance.
• Represent BSM in campus committees and coordinate with chaplain’s office.
