Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must possess good analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management, communications, and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Miser, Abrigo, LexisNexis, Microsoft Office, and Teams.
  • Financial expertise, investigative mindset, knowledge of banking regs, familiarity with financial crimes, interview techniques, and reporting ability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with transaction monitoring, investigations, data analysis, identification of trends and patterns.
  • Perform systems testing, tuning, and developing innovative compliance solutions.
  • Identifying and managing risk, facilitating engagement decisions, and enhancing compliance programs.
  • Understand BSA/AML/OFAC regulatory requirements and apply them to the business model to ensure effective execution of the program.
  • Prepare reports that meet internal and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate clearly with bankers and customers in investigations and monitoring efforts and educate and advise lines of business to ensure full compliance.
  • Participate in assigned compliance projects.
  • Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust; direct customers to appropriate personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

Serve in a role to support the design and execution of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance programs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The BSA/AML Analyst will have duties and responsibilities such as:

  • Assist with transaction monitoring, investigations, data analysis, identification of trends and patterns.
  • Perform systems testing, tuning, and developing innovative compliance solutions.
  • Identifying and managing risk, facilitating engagement decisions, and enhancing compliance programs.
  • Understand BSA/AML/OFAC regulatory requirements and apply them to our business model to ensure the effective execution of the program.

  • Communicate clearly with bankers and customers in the conduct of investigations and monitoring efforts and educate and advise lines of business to ensure full compliance.

OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to appropriate person to establish business relationships.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of working independently.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 - 5 years of banking experience required with background or experience in accounting a plus.

WORK SCHEDULE:
  • Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day work from home.
  • Hours - 8:30 - 5:30
