Job summary

Archdiocese of New York is seeking a caring UPK-4 Lead Teacher for St. Clare of Assisi–St. Francis Xavier School in the Bronx.

The role supports social, emotional, and educational development using The Creative Curriculum and collaborative coaching from NYC DOE partners. You will design unit plans and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners. Qualifications

• New York State teaching certificates for Early Childhood, Nursery-Grade 6, or P-6, or SWD Birth-Grade 2.
• BA plus enrollment in a B-2 teacher preparation program.
• Equivalent certification from a public or private accrediting organization with NYS reciprocal validity.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing, safe, engaging learning environments for social, cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
• Deliver instruction and engaging learning experiences based on The Creative Curriculum.
• Develop unit and weekly lesson plans aligned with program goals and policies.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual strengths and interests.
• Assess progress, document observations, and use data to plan instruction.
• Maintain positive behavior support per Archdiocesan and NYC DECE guidelines.
