Job description

Join to apply for the Broiler Cook role at Ruth's Chris Steak House.

All BOH positions are expected to report to work as scheduled, be in proper uniform, and maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness during all shifts. Each team member will receive their station assignment at the start of their shift and perform all opening and closing duties as directed by the Manager on Duty. Maintaining sanitation and food safety is paramount, and all safety guidelines must be followed; any unsafe conditions or incidents should be reported immediately to the Chef or Manager on Duty.

Duties and Expectations
  1. Assist the Chef and/or butcher in meat cutting, following Ruth's Chris standards and procedures.
  2. Communicate regularly with the Chef regarding equipment, sanitation, safety, inventory, and food quality issues.
  3. Support food preparation for all kitchen staff according to established recipes and standards.
  4. Supervise the kitchen line during service, ensuring quality, timing, and presentation standards are met.
  5. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient broiler station, anticipating overloads and assisting other staff as needed.
  6. Stock and restock the oven, plates, and ingredients to meet business demands.
  7. Ensure correct meat cuts, seasons, cooks, and plates all entrees, serving directly from the broiler to the guest.
  8. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
  9. Maintain proper broiler temperature and cleanliness, and correctly handle unused meat products at shift end.
  10. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
