Job summary

STI is seeking a Broadcom Proxy/DLP Engineer to modernize secure web gateway infrastructure, migrating legacy proxy environments into hybrid cloud or COLO architectures while maintaining traffic flow, authentication, and SSL inspection.

You will integrate and tune Broadcom/Symantec DLP to monitor and prevent data loss across web, endpoint, and cloud channels, and you will leverage Ansible, Python, and PowerShell to automate policy deployments, configuration management, health checks, and

Qualifications

• Experience with Broadcom Proxy and secure web gateway platforms.
• Hands-on DLP policy deployment and tuning across network, endpoint, and cloud.
• Automation of policy deployments, configuration pushes, and health checks using Ansible, Python, and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy on‑prem Broadcom/Blue Coat proxy infrastructure to hybrid cloud/COLO environments, redesigning traffic flows and authentication.
• Integrate and tune Broadcom/Symantec DLP to monitor and prevent data loss across web, endpoint and cloud channels.
• Automate routine tasks and incident workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with SOC and security teams to ensure policy enforcement aligns with security posture.

• Broadcom Proxy - Proxy engineer uses the platform daily to inspect, filter, and control outbound web traffic, ensuring users and applications follow security and compliance policies. They also integrate the proxy with Broadcom DLP to detect and prevent sensitive data from leaving the organization through web uploads, cloud apps, or encrypted channels.


• Migration Experience - Hands-on experience migrating legacy on-prem Broadcom/Blue Coat proxy infrastructure into a hybrid cloud and COLO environment, including redesigning traffic flows, authentication, and policy enforcement for modern architectures. Their day-to-day work involved re-platforming proxy services, validating SSL inspection paths, and ensuring seamless integration with security tools like DLP during the transition.


• DLP - Hands-on experience deploying and tuning Broadcom/Symantec DLP policies across network, endpoint, and cloud channels, ensuring sensitive data is identified, classified, and protected in real time. Their day-to-day work includes triaging DLP incidents, refining detection rules, and integrating DLP with Broadcom Proxy via ICAP to prevent data exfiltration through web uploads or encrypted traffic.


• Automation - Uses Ansible, Python, and PowerShell to automate routine tasks like policy updates, configuration pushes, log parsing, and system health checks.
