Job summary

KOIN-TV in Portland is seeking a full-time Sports Photographer/Editor. You will shoot video for sports and news, edit content for TV, online, and social platforms, and coordinate with reporters to craft engaging stories under tight deadlines.

Qualifications include 3–5 years in broadcast television, proficiency with Sony cameras, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Fluency in English.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 3–5 years of experience in broadcast television.
• Experience operating video recording equipment.
• Proficiency with Sony cameras.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Shoot video for Sports and News coverage.
• Confer with reporters to discuss assignments, logistics and shot requirements.
• Set up, compose, and execute broadcast quality video.
• Maintain all assigned equipment.
• Edit video for television broadcasts, streaming platforms and web content.
• Operate live microwave and satellite trucks.
• Develop creative, visually appealing stories with reporters.
• Work under tight deadlines with good judgment.
