Job summary

WBAL is seeking an Operations Technician - PT to support the NBC affiliate in Baltimore. This role is scheduled for an average of twenty-nine hours per week and requires union membership.

You will operate robotic cameras, audio consoles, and related systems, while performing technical directing duties and maintaining FCC compliance as part of a collaborative engineering team. The position demands willingness to work varied shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and contribute to both remote and in-house

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an operations technician at a commercial television station with experience operating broadcast equipment.
• Must have solid background in operation of broadcast television systems and equipment.

• Operate robotic cameras and audio console and related systems.
• Perform technical directing duties including switcher operation and media playout.
