Job summary

ABC30 in Fresno, a Disney/ABC station, offers an internship from January 2027 through early June 2027. You will rotate through newsroom departments, assist assignment desk tasks, and participate in daily operations of a major market TV station.

Expected to work about 20 hours per week with on-site duties in Fresno, CA. Compensation includes a pay rate of $17.75 per hour and select benefits as offered. Enrolled students meeting eligibility may apply.

Qualifications

• College student majoring in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and basic newsroom tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the assignment desk, answer phones, conduct beat checks, and transcribe interviews.
• Research news topics including online and social media.
• Assist in planning news series and promotional campaigns.
• Observe editors, reporters, writers, producers, directors, and attend meetings.
• Travel with marketing and field crews for stories or live remotes when needed.
