Job summary

BRIC is seeking a part-time Master Control Operator to monitor playout of content across BRIC’s multi-channel cable television and streaming distribution network. This role is based in our Brooklyn office and requires coordination with distribution partners and internal teams.

Applicants should have 2 years in a video master control environment, knowledge of studio operations, and proficiency with Windows OS and MS Office. This is a weekend/holiday-focused position with evening hours.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a video master control environment with a broadcast or cable system program automation.
• Demonstrable knowledge of television studio operations and production processes.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS including GUI navigation and file system management, and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor play-out and recording operations across multiple channels with signal quality checks.
• Manage schedules and file storage in the station automation system.
• Execute Master Control operations as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain communications with distribution partners, internal support staff, and internal content management staff.
• Communicate with live show producers as needed.
