Job summary

Conference Technologies (CTI) is seeking a Broadcast Engineer to join our Omaha team. You will champion broadcasting solutions, coordinate with clients, and guide projects from scope through handover, ensuring a fantastic customer experience.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in broadcast engineering, with experience in design docs and broadcast tech architectures. Training and a collaborative environment support growth in this role.

Qualifications

• Associates degree is preferred, but not required. Experience/skill level matters.
• At least 5 years experience in broadcast engineering.
• Experience in broadcast engineering sales is preferred.
• Knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production systems in Media/Entertainment, incl. HD/UHD/HDR with SMPTE 2110 IP transport.
• Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, and Wireless Access Points.

Responsibilities

• Participate in business development including RFP responses, bid interviews, and engineering sales calls.
• Attend internal project kick-off and follow-up meetings to support projects.
• Create high-level system conceptual drawings and documentation to define scope.
• Oversee multiple projects at different phases.
• Be the lead decision maker for all aspects of integration implementation with a senior technician.
• Commission and train clients and deliver close-out documentation at system handover.
• Other duties as needed.

What are your responsibilities?

Qualifications: Does experience count?

• Education: Associates degree is preferred, but not required. We take into account your experience/skill level and what you bring to the table as an individual.
• Attitude and Aptitude:
• At least 5 years experience in broadcast engineering, including authoring design documentation for broadcast technical architectures.
• Experience in broadcast engineering sales is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production systems used in the Media and Entertainment / Broadcast industry. Formats include high-definition, UHD, and HDR video systems deployed using analog, SDI, and SMPTE 2110 IP transport protocols.
• Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, and Wireless Access Points.
• Experience with various hardware and software architectures, including: High Performance Data Storage (SAN, NAS), Video and Media Data Management (Archive and Backup Strategies), Media Asset Management Platforms (MAM) - CatDV, IPV, Primestream, Dalet, Reach Engine, Edit Share, Iconik, networking, cloud platforms, and storage architecture.
