You will coordinate with news, production, and technical teams to deliver fast, compelling broadcasts and on‑air graphics.
The role requires expertise in production automation, live switching, and content management, with a proactive approach to quality control and problem solving in a fast‑paced environment.

WFAA is looking for a multi-skilled Director for streaming, linear, and digital platform productions. The primary responsibility of this position is directing daily newscasts and other local programs, utilizing both production automation and manual switching operations. The Director will work closely with our news, production, and technical teams to produce fast-paced, compelling, and comprehensive newscasts and programs for both linear and streaming platforms. We are looking for someone with multiple skillsets who can be part of the engine forward to the next platform to serve our audience while maintaining the strength of our existing linear and digital platforms. This person should bring forward-thinking production ideas, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage quality control at a high level. In addition, the candidate must also be familiar with all studio operations, including floor directing, camera operation, teleprompter, graphics creation, audio, lighting, non‑linear editing, content management systems, and master control systems. This person should also be a great collaborator and trouble shooter.
