Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as technician, operator, or engineer in broadcasting.
  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree in Media/Communications or equivalent broadcasting experience.
  • Understanding of television production and broadcast operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in content.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and ability to make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control checks on programming, commercials, and promos before air.
  • Monitor live and recorded broadcasts to ensure audio, video, captioning quality.
  • Manage automation playlists and logs using SNELL Morpheus and Amagi.
  • Execute commercial break integrations and support live event broadcasting workflows.
  • Maintain availability and quality of 150+ channel streams.
  • Verify content is prepared for scheduled playout.
  • Identify and escalate on-air discrepancies and support rapid recovery.
  • Coordinate programming and playlist changes with production and operations teams.
  • Support event preparation, rehearsals, contingency operations, and daily MCR activities.
  • Adhere to operational procedures, policies, and NOC standards.

Job Title: Broadcast Control Room Operator

Position Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control Master Control Operator to support 24/7 broadcast operations during a major systems migration initiative. This role is responsible for monitoring on-air programming, managing playlists, ensuring content readiness, executing commercial breaks, and maintaining the quality and continuity of 150+ channel streams. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced broadcast environment, and can respond quickly to on-air issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control checks on programming, commercials, and promotional content prior to air.
  • Monitor live and recorded broadcasts to ensure audio, video, captioning, and overall transmission quality.
  • Manage and update automation playlists, programming schedules, and commercial logs using broadcast automation systems such as SNELL Morpheus and Amagi.
  • Execute commercial break integrations and support live event broadcasting workflows.
  • Monitor and maintain the availability and quality of 150+ channel streams.
  • Verify all content is prepared and available for scheduled playout.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalation on-air discrepancies while supporting rapid recovery efforts.
  • Coordinate with production teams and operations staff to implement programming and playlist changes.
  • Support event preparation, rehearsals, contingency operations, and daily master control activities.
  • Adhere to all operational procedures, company policies, and Network Operations Center standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Looking for minimum 1 year of exp as a technician or operators or engineer within broadcasting or graduate from Colorado Media School
  • High School Diploma, Associate Degree in Media, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent broadcast/media experience.
  • Understanding of television production, broadcast operations, or technical production environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in broadcast content.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
