Job summary

Spectrum News in Ithaca is seeking a PEG Coordinator to maintain and run automation tools and equipment for encoding and sustaining regular cablecast programs across our local channels.

You’ll be an essential part of a collaborative newsroom, controlling video/audio and automation systems, reading waveforms and RF monitors, and adapting to breaking news with flexible shifts and weekend/evening hours. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in video production and master control operations.
• Associates degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or related field or equivalent television/cable experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and run automation tools and equipment for encoding and sustaining regular cablecast programs.
• Control video/audio and automation systems during broadcasts.
• Collaborate with newsroom team to produce timely, accurate newscasts.
